What We Do
Test Prep for Grades Pre-K to 8
Our tutors are not just experts in their subjects; they specialize in test preparation strategies for the SSAT, ISEE and other relevant exams. They understand the nuances of these tests and are adept at imparting the skills necessary to excel.
T&E: Many leading private schools incorporate the Thinking & Engagement (T&E) Assessment—also known as the First Look Test (FLI)—into their Kindergarten admissions process. This virtual evaluation is designed to assess a child’s language development, reasoning ability, and problem-solving skills.
SSAT: The Secondary School Admission Test is used by private schools for admissions into grades four through twelve. All three levels of the SSAT can be taken on paper at a testing center, while the Middle and Upper levels are also offered in a digital form that can be taken at home or at a Prometric Testing Center.
ISEE: The Independent School Entrance Exam is accepted by more than 1,200 independent schools for admissions into grades two through twelve. Testing options for all four levels of the test include at-home, at-school, in-office, online, and at Prometric Test Centers on a variety of flexible schedules.
Test Prep for Grades 9 to 12
Beyond content mastery, we teach pivotal test-taking strategies – from time management and question analysis to tackling challenging question types. These techniques are crucial for managing the pressures of timed tests and maximizing performance. Exams include:
SHSAT: The Specialized High School Admissions Test is used for admissions to New York City’s specialized high schools, including Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Technical, and Bronx Science. It is administered each fall in digital format.
SSAT / ISEE: The Upper Level SSAT and Upper Level ISEE are used for admissions to private high schools throughout the United States. They can be taken in either paper-based or digital forms in a variety of settings, including at-home, at-school, in-office, and at Prometric Testing Centers.
HSPT / TACHS / COOP: The High School Placement Test, Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools, and Cooperative Admissions Examination are each used by Catholic high schools in the Tri-State Area for admissions, placement, and scholarship awards.
AP Exams: AP Exams are administered each May at schools throughout the United States to assess student mastery in more than three dozen subjects. Qualifying scores lead to course credit, advanced placement, or both at most US colleges.
IB Exams: The International Baccalaureate exams are taken by students at the end of their two-year IB Diploma Programme, and many universities grant course credit for high scores on these exams.

SAT: The SAT is the other major standardized test used for college admissions in the United States. It is offered eight times each year in a digital adaptive format.
PSAT/NMSQT: The Preliminary SAT / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is offered each fall to high school juniors and is used as part of the qualification process for a variety of highly competitive academic scholarships.
